What we did Today:

Today in humanities we mostly reviewed Pathways chapter 2, we looked at the feudal contract and the 3 F's. We also copied a web from the projector about the feudal contract and the the responsibilities and obligations of the people in the city. We learned that the Pope and his nobles all had different responisbilites and duties; and that they were only 10% of the whole population! The other 90% of the population was free landers and serfs, who didnt have many rights (serfs were considered property of land).

learning intention:

We filled out the chart about the "classes" of the cities because Ms. Lees' wanted us to see how different the people lived. The higher nobles had a much better lifestyle than freelanders because the nobles had rights and the king protected them and gave them justice as long as they remained faithful. Where as the serfs were considered property of the land, but they were not allowed to be "kicked off" of their farm. We made the web about the feudal contract to see what the "conditions" were for nobles and others.

Reflections/Connections:

I personally enjoy learning about the medieval ages because i think it's interesting to see how far the world has come, back then i dont think they could have even imagined what the world is like today! I like making webs about what we are learning because sometimes when we are just writing notes my writing starts to get "sloppy" and not very neat so a web is much easier for me to understand. I think i will start using webs more as i get older to organize any information in a more neat and understanable way.

Homework: There is no homework for today unless you would like to start your there will be wolves chapter 8 questions.
